Indianapolis – The Indianapolis Colts today placed guard Will Fries on the Injured Reserve list and waived cornerback Dallis Flowers.
Fries, 6-6, 305 pounds, has played in 40 career games (31 starts) in four seasons (2021-24) with the Colts. He started all four games this season at right guard. In 2023, Fries started all 17 games at right guard. He appeared in 16 games in 2022 and recorded nine starts at right guard. As a rookie in 2021, Fries saw action in two games. He was originally selected by the team in the seventh round (248th overall) of the 2021 NFL Draft out of Penn State.
Flowers, 6-1, 196 pounds, appeared in 21 career games (five starts) in three seasons (2022-24) with the Colts and compiled 32 tackles (26 solo), 2.0 tackles for loss, three passes defensed, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and six special teams stops. He also registered 25 kickoff returns for 764 yards (30.6 avg.) and three punt returns for 13 yards (4.3 avg.). Flowers was originally signed by Indianapolis as an undrafted free agent on May 13, 2022, out of Pittsburg State.
