Colts sign free agent CB Corey Ballentine

The Colts signed Ballentine on Friday.

The Colts on Friday signed free agent cornerback Corey Ballentine, adding another new face - and depth - to their secondary.

The 5-foot-9, 196-pound Ballentine has played in 69 career games (11 starts) in his time with the New York Giants (2019-2020), New York Jets (2020), Detroit Lions (2021) and Green Bay Packers (2022-2024). He has compiled 100 tackles (76 solo), nine passes defensed, two forced fumbles and one interception. Ballentine has appeared in three postseason games and recorded five tackles.

The Jamaican native was selected in the sixth round of the 2019 NFL Draft by the Giants. He played his high school ball at Shawnee Heights High School in Kansas and played college football and Division II Washburn University. Following his senior season, Ballentine was invited to the 2019 Senior Bowl and participated in the 2019 NFL Scouting Combine.
