The Indianapolis Colts today signed unrestricted free agent quarterback Daniel Jones and cornerback Charvarius Ward. The team also signed free agent kicker Spencer Shrader.
Shrader, 6-2, 201 pounds, spent time with the Kansas City Chiefs, New York Jets and Colts as a rookie last season. He played in four combined games for the three teams and converted 5-of-5 field goals and 9-of-9 extra points for 24 total points. Shrader originally signed with Indianapolis as an undrafted free agent on May 9, 2024. His last name is pronounced Sh-RAID-err.
Collegiately, he appeared in 57 career games at Notre Dame (2023) and USF (2019-22) and converted 43-of-63 field goals and 156-of-158 extra points for 285 points. In 2023, Shrader played in all 13 games and made 15-of-22 field goals and 61-of-62 extra points for 106 points. He was a Lou Groza Award Semifinalist in 2021.
