INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Colts today signed offensive tackle Travis Vornkahl and defensive tackle Roderick Young to the practice squad.
Vornkahl, 6-5, 300 pounds, was originally signed by the Cleveland Browns as an undrafted free agent on August 9, 2019. He was waived at the end of training camp and spent three weeks on the Washington Redskins practice squad. Vornkahl started 32 games at West Texas A&M. As a redshirt senior, he was named a Second Team All-Lone Star Conference choice at right tackle.
Young, 6-1, 307 pounds, was originally signed by the Jacksonville Jaguars as an undrafted free agent on April 28, 2019. He was waived by the Jaguars on June 4 and then spent time with the Buffalo Bills during training camp prior to being waived on August 31. Young appeared in 51 games at North Texas and registered 134 tackles, 6.5 sacks, 18.0 tackles for loss, one pass defensed and one fumble recovery.
