INDIANAPOLIS — After months of offseason work, an extremely competitive training camp and four productive preseason games, the Indianapolis Colts have made the moves necessary to get to their initial 53-man roster heading into Week 1 of the 2019 regular season.

Facing a 4 p.m. deadline on Saturday to cut down their 90-man preseason roster to its initial 53-man regular-season version, the Colts made the following moves:

The following players were waived:

The Colts also executed a couple trades earlier in the week. On Wednesday, Indianapolis sent cornerback Nate Hairston to the New York Jets in exchange for a 2020 sixth-round draft pick; on Friday, the Colts acquired an undisclosed conditional 2020 draft pick from the Miami Dolphins in exchange for center/guard Evan Boehm and an undisclosed 2020 draft pick.

The claiming period for players placed on waivers at today's the final roster reduction — which is expected to be a list of about 1,200 players league-wide — expires at noon (ET) tomorrow. Then, at 1 p.m., teams may establish their 10-men practice squads.
