INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Colts today signed tight end Ross Travis to the active roster and placed tight end Eric Ebron on the Injured Reserve list.
Travis, 6-6, 248 pounds, returns to the Colts after competing in four games for the team in 2017 and spending the 2018 season on Injured Reserve. He was waived by Indianapolis prior to the start of the regular season on August 31. Between the Kansas City Chiefs and Colts, Travis has competed in 21 career games (six starts) and has totaled 10 receptions for 91 yards. He started his NFL career in Kansas City following four years of college basketball at Penn State where he amassed 831 points, 816 rebounds, 92 assists, 77 steals and 37 blocks in 131 games.
Ebron, 6-4, 253 pounds, competed in 11 games (two starts) in 2019 and totaled 31 receptions for 375 yards and three touchdowns. The six-year veteran has competed in 83 career games and has recorded 283 receptions for 3,195 yards and 27 touchdowns. He was voted to his first Pro Bowl following the 2018 season.
