Indianapolis – The Indianapolis Colts today waived guard Atonio Mafi.
Mafi, 6-3, 330 pounds, has spent time on the team's active roster and practice squad this season. He has played in three games for Indianapolis. Mafi was originally signed to the team's practice squad on August 29, 2024. He participated in the Patriots' 2024 offseason program and training camp. As a rookie in 2023, Mafi played in all 17 games (five starts at left guard) for New England. He was originally selected by the Patriots in the fifth round (144th overall) of the 2023 NFL Draft out of UCLA. His name is pronounced AH-tonio MA-fee.
