WESTFIELD, Ind. —The Indianapolis Colts today signed free agents wide receiver Roger Lewis and guard Ian Silberman and waived linebacker Drew Lewis and guard William Poehls.
Roger Lewis, 6-0, 203 pounds, has played in 28 career games (nine starts) and has compiled 43 receptions for 513 yards and four touchdowns in his time with the Tennessee Titans (2018) and New York Giants (2016-17). He has also appeared in one postseason contest.
Lewis participated in the Titans' 2019 offseason program before being waived on May 7. In 2018, he spent most of the season on Tennessee's practice squad. Lewis saw action in 15 games (eight starts) in 2017 and finished with 36 receptions for 416 yards and two touchdowns. As a rookie in 2016, he played in 13 games (one start) and tallied seven reception for 97 yards and two touchdowns. Lewis also saw action in one postseason contest. He was originally signed by the Giants as an undrafted free agent on May 6, 2016.
Silberman, 6-5, 305 pounds, re-joins Indianapolis after spending time on the team's active roster and practice squad in 2017. He has played in three career games in his time with the Carolina Panthers (2018), Oakland Raiders (2016-18), Tennessee Titans (2018), Colts (2017), New England Patriots (2016) and San Francisco 49ers (2015). Silberman was originally selected by the 49ers in the sixth round (190th overall) of the 2015 NFL Draft out of Boston College.
Drew Lewis, 6-2, 225 pounds, signed with Indianapolis as a free agent on July 26, 2019. He participated in the Houston Texans' 2019 offseason program before being waived on July 23. Lewis was originally signed by the Texans as an undrafted free agent on May 10, 2019.
Poehls, 6-8, 344 pounds, signed a reserve/future contract with the Colts on December 31, 2018. He has previously spent time with the Jacksonville Jaguars (2017-18), Buffalo Bills (2016), Chicago Bears (2016) and Tennessee Titans (2014-2015).
