INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Colts today signed linebacker Bobby Okereke.
The Colts have now signed all 10 of their draft picks from the 2019 NFL Draft.
Okereke, 6-1, 239 pounds, was selected by Indianapolis in the third round (89th overall) of the 2019 NFL Draft. He saw action in 51 games at Stanford and totaled 240 career tackles (114 solo), 19.0 tackles for loss, 10.5 sacks, nine passes defensed, three forced fumbles, one interception (returned for a touchdown), one fumble recovery and one safety. Okereke garnered Honorable Mention All-PAC-12 recognition in each of his final two seasons (2017 and 2018). As a team captain in 2018, he started all 13 games and recorded 96 tackles (52 solo), 7.5 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, five passes defensed, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and one safety. Okereke appeared in all 14 games in 2017 and compiled 96 tackles (48 solo), 7.5 tackles for loss, 4.0 sacks, one forced fumble and one interception (returned for a touchdown). In 2016, he started all 13 games and tallied 41 tackles (12 solo), 4.0 tackles for loss, 3.0 sacks and one pass defensed. Okereke appeared in 11 games in 2015 and recorded seven tackles (two solo) and one pass defensed. In 2014, he redshirted as a true freshman.
