INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Colts today signed free agent defensive end Dadi Nicolas and waived cornerback Jamal Peters with an injury settlement.
Nicolas, 6-3, 251 pounds, has played in 11 career games. In 2018, he participated in training camp with the Washington Redskins after spending time during the offseason with the Seattle Seahawks. Nicolas spent time on the Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform list with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2017. As a rookie in 2016, he saw action in 11 games with the Chiefs. Nicolas was originally selected by Kansas City in the sixth round (203rd overall) of the 2016 NFL Draft out of Virginia Tech.
Peters, 6-1, 219 pounds, was signed by the Colts as an undrafted free agent on May 3, 2019. He saw action in 46 games (16 starts) at Mississippi State and totaled 99 tackles (56 solo), 3.5 tackles for loss, 1.0 sack, 13 passes defensed, three interceptions (one returned for a touchdown), two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery.
