INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Colts today signed free agent defensive tackle Carl Davis and placed defensive end Kemoko Turay on the Injured Reserve list.
Davis, 6-5, 320 pounds, has played in 33 career games (12 starts) in his time with the Cleveland Browns (2018-19) and Baltimore Ravens (2015-17) and has compiled 31 tackles (16 solo), 2.0 tackles for loss, half a sack and three passes defensed. He was originally selected by the Ravens in the third round (90th overall) of the 2015 NFL Draft.
Davis participated in the Browns' 2019 offseason program and training camp before being waived during final cuts on August 31. In 2018, he appeared in five games for Cleveland and registered one tackle. Davis saw action in 15 games (career-high nine starts) for Baltimore in 2017 and finished with 19 tackles (12 solo), 2.0 tackles for loss, half a sack and one pass defensed. He spent the entire 2016 season on the Ravens' Injured Reserve list. As a rookie in 2015, Davis played in 13 games (three starts) and tallied 11 tackles (four solo) and two passes defensed.
Turay, 6-5, 248 pounds, was selected by the Colts in the second round (52nd overall) of the 2018 NFL Draft. He has played in 18 career games (three starts) and has totaled 20 tackles (13 solo), 1.0 tackle for loss, 5.5 sacks and two forced fumbles. Turay appeared in four games this season and tallied five tackles (two solo), 1.5 sacks and one forced fumble. As a rookie in 2018, he saw action in 14 games (three starts) and totaled 15 tackles (11 solo), 1.0 tackle for loss, 4.0 sacks and one forced fumble. Turay played in Indianapolis' two postseason contests and had two solo tackles and 1.0 tackle for loss.
