WESTFIELD, Ind. — The Indianapolis Colts today signed free agent defensive end Dadi Nicolas and placed running back Spencer Ware on the Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform List.
Nicolas, 6-3, 251 pounds, was signed by Indianapolis as a free agent on May 14, 2019 before being waived on July 24. He has played in 11 career games. Nicolas previously spent time with the Washington Redskins (2018), Seattle Seahawks (2018) and Kansas City Chiefs (2016-17). He was originally selected by the Chiefs in the sixth round (203rd overall) of the 2016 NFL Draft.
Ware, 5-10, 224 pounds, was placed on the team's Active/Physically Unable to Perform List on July 24, 2019. He signed with Indianapolis as an unrestricted free agent on April 30, 2019. Ware has played in 40 career games (18 starts) in his time with the Kansas City Chiefs (2015-18) and Seattle Seahawks (2013) and has totaled 340 carries for 1,580 yards and 11 touchdowns. He has also caught 59 passes for 676 yards and two touchdowns.
