Indianapolis – The Indianapolis Colts today signed cornerback Tre Flowers and defensive end Durell Nchami to the practice squad and released tackle Sebastian Gutierrez and defensive end Derek Rivers from the practice squad.
Flowers, 6-3, 200 pounds, spent Weeks 9-12 on the Colts practice squad after signing with the team on October 29, 2024. He has played in 94 career games (44 starts) in his time with the Colts (2024), Jacksonville Jaguars (2024), Atlanta Falcons (2023), Cincinnati Bengals (2021-22) and Seattle Seahawks (2018-21). Flowers has compiled 270 tackles (211 solo), 4.0 tackles for loss, 2.0 sacks, 22 passes defensed, four interceptions, five forced fumbles, five fumble recoveries and 16 special teams stops. He has also appeared in 10 postseason contests (three starts) and has registered 20 tackles (16 solo), two passes defensed and five special teams stops. Flowers was originally selected by the Seahawks in the fifth round (146th overall) of the 2018 NFL Draft out of Oklahoma State.
Nchami, 6-4, 258 pounds, participated in the Denver Broncos' 2024 offseason program and training camp. He was originally signed to the Broncos practice squad on December 6, 2023. Collegiately, Nchami played in 33 career games (14 starts) at Maryland (2018-22) and compiled 50 tackles (32 solo), 17.5 tackles for loss, 9.0 sacks, one pass defensed, four forced fumbles and one blocked kick. His last name is pronounced en-CHA-mee.
Gutierrez, 6-6, 310 pounds, was signed to the team's practice squad on October 28, 2024. He also spent time on the practice squads of the Cleveland Browns (2024), San Francisco 49ers (2023-24), Las Vegas Raiders (2022-23) and Patriots (2022). Gutierrez also spent time with the Kansas City Chiefs (2023) and Broncos (2022). He saw action in one game with the Raiders in 2022. Gutierrez was originally signed by the Broncos as an undrafted free agent on May 13, 2022, out of Minot State.
Rivers, 6-5, 250 pounds, spent Weeks 4-12 on the team's practice squad. He participated in 2024 training camp with Indianapolis. Rivers has played in 24 career games (one start) in his time with the Colts (2023-24), Houston Texans (2021-23), Los Angeles Rams (2020) and Patriots (2017-20). He has registered 16 tackles (11 solo), 5.0 tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks. Rivers has also appeared in three postseason contests and has recorded one special teams tackle. He was originally selected by New England in the third round (83rd overall) of the 2017 NFL Draft out of Youngstown State.
