Colts elevate DT Adam Gotsis, CB David Long Jr. to active roster from practice squad for Week 4 game vs. Steelers

Indianapolis – The Indianapolis Colts today elevated defensive tackle Adam Gotsis and cornerback David Long Jr. to the active roster from the practice squad for Sunday's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Gotsis, 6-4, 290 pounds, was signed to the team's practice squad on September 17, 2024. He has played in 121 career games (54 starts) in his time with the Colts (2024), Jacksonville Jaguars (2020-24) and Denver Broncos (2016-19). Gotsis has totaled 216 tackles (133 solo), 25.0 tackles for loss, 10.5 sacks, 22 passes defensed, three forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries and two special teams stops. He has also appeared in two postseason contests and has tallied two solo tackles and one special teams stop. Gotsis was originally selected by the Broncos in the second round (63rd overall) of the 2016 NFL Draft out of Georgia Tech. His last name is pronounced GOT-sis.

Long Jr., 5-11, 196 pounds, was signed to the team's practice squad on September 2, 2024. He has played in 66 career games (12 starts) in his time with the Colts (2024), New York Giants (2024), Green Bay Packers (2023), Carolina Panthers (2023), Las Vegas Raiders (2023) and Los Angeles Rams (2019-22). Long Jr. has compiled 94 tackles (81 solo), eight passes defensed, one interception and two special teams stops. He has also appeared in six postseason contests (one start) and has registered 12 tackles (11 solo), 1.0 tackle for loss, one pass defensed and one interception. Long Jr. was originally selected by the Rams in the third round (79th overall) of the 2019 NFL Draft out of Michigan.
