INDIANAPOLIS —The Indianapolis Colts today claimed guard Jake Eldrenkamp off waivers (from New England) and waived tackle De'Ondre Wesley.
Eldrenkamp, 6-5, 300 pounds, most recently signed a reserve/future contract with the Patriots on February 5, 2019. He spent time on the Cleveland Browns practice squad in 2018. Eldrenkamp participated in 2018 training camp with the Los Angeles Rams before being waived during final cuts. In 2017, he spent time on the Rams practice squad. Eldrenkamp participated in 2017 training camp with the Rams before being waived during final cuts. He originally signed with the Rams as an undrafted free agent on May 2, 2017.
Collegiately, Eldrenkamp played in 42 games (23 starts) at Washington. As a senior in 2016, he was a First Team All-Pac-12 choice after starting 12 games at left guard.
Wesley, 6-6, 331 pounds, signed a reserve/future contract with Indianapolis on January 13, 2019. He spent time on the Colts and Buffalo Bills practice squads last season. Wesley spent the entire 2017 season on Buffalo's practice squad. He spent the entire 2016 season on the Baltimore Ravens' Injured Reserve list. As a rookie in 2015, Wesley spent time on the Ravens' active roster and practice squad. He saw action in seven games. Wesley originally signed with Baltimore as an undrafted free agent on May 8, 2015.
