Colts Place Kicker Adam Vinatieri, Wide Receiver Parris Campbell On Injured Reserve

The Indianapolis Colts announced today that they have placed kicker Adam Vinatieri and wide receiver Parris Campbell on injured reserve.

INDIANAPOLIS —The Indianapolis Colts today placed kicker Adam Vinatieri and wide receiver Parris Campbell on the Injured Reserve list.

Vinatieri, 6-0, 212 pounds, competed in 12 games in 2019 and totaled 73 points on 17 field goals and 22 extra points. In a Week 8 win against Denver, Vinatieri kicked a 51-yard game-winning field goal, which marked his 29th career game-winning kick in the final minute of the fourth quarter or overtime. Vinatieri has played in the second-most regular season games (365) in NFL history and following the team's Week 11 win against Jacksonville, improved his league record for career regular season wins to 221.

In 365 career games, Vinatieri converted 599-of-715 field goals (83.8 percent) and 874-of-899 extra points with one two-point conversion totaling 2,673 points, which ranks first in NFL history. He also ranks first in league history in field goals made, field goals attempted, consecutive field goals made (44), and 100-plus point seasons (21). Vinatieri owns Colts records for points scored (1,515), field goals made (336), and extra points made (507). He has played in 205 regular season games with the Colts, which ranks fourth in franchise history.

Vinatieri was originally signed by the Colts as an unrestricted free agent on March 22, 2006 and was a member of the team's Super Bowl XLI championship team. He joined Indianapolis after playing 10 seasons (1996-2005) with the New England Patriots where he won three Super Bowls (XXXVI, XXXVIII, and XXXIX). Vinatieri was recently named to the NFL 100 All-Time team.

Campbell, 6-0, 208 pounds, competed in seven games (three starts) and caught 18 passes for 127 yards and one touchdown. He also recorded four rushes for 34 yards and returned seven kickoffs for 175 yards with a long return of 36 yards. Campbell was selected in the second round (59th overall) of the 2019 NFL Draft out of Ohio State.
