WESTFIELD, Ind. —The Indianapolis Colts today signed free agent running back Keith Ford and waived running back Aca'Cedric Ware.
Ford, 5-10, 219 pounds, spent time on the Buffalo Bills' active roster and practice squad as a rookie in 2018. After spending the first 14 weeks of the season on the practice squad, he was promoted to the 53-man roster on December 12, 2018. Ford saw action in two games (one start) and compiled 21 carries for 79 yards. He also caught three passes for 21 yards. Ford originally signed with Buffalo as an undrafted free agent on May 11, 2018 out of Texas A&M.
Ware, 6-0, 203 pounds, was signed by the Colts as an undrafted free agent on July 24, 2019. Collegiately, he saw action in 46 career games at USC and totaled 264 carries for 1,505 yards and 10 touchdowns. Ware also registered 19 receptions for 126 yards.
