Pendleton Heights has officially changed its facility from Arabian Field to John Broughton Field to honor the longtime coach who retired after the 2015 campaign with a career mark of 226-186.
Eastbrook coach Jeff Adamson earned his 250th career win with the Panthers' 54-7 triumph over Alexandria.
Mishawaka coach Bart Curtis celebrated career win No. 200 with the Cavemen's 38-14 decision over Mishawaka Marian.
Leo's Jared Sauder picked up his 100th career win with the Lions' 34-13 decision over Columbia City.
Calvin Thomas' 29-yard touchdown run with less than three minutes left was the difference as Decatur Central ended defending Class 4A state champion Indianapolis Roncalli's 22-game winning streak with a 49-45 triumph.
Prairie Heights snapped its 29-game losing streak with a 45-6 victory over Fremont. It was the Panthers' first win since a 23-6 decision over Fremont on October 10, 2014 and also ended their 11-game Northern Corner Conference losing skid.
Corydon Central had its 11-game losing streak come to an end with a 49-20 win over Clarksville. It was also the first career win for Panthers' skipper Aaron Humphrey.
Trinity Lutheran picked it up its first win since 2014 with a 14-13 triumph over Indianapolis Shortridge. The Cougars returned to action this fall after not fielding a squad in 2015 and 2016.
East Noble ended New Haven's 13-game Northeast 8 Conference winning streak with a 42-21 victory.
LaPorte quarterback Nolan Lorenz found tight end Mark Haines for a 25-yard touchdown pass on the final play as the Slicers edged Michigan City, 58-56. The two teams combined for more than 1,000 yards of offense.
Jack James' 23-yard field goal with seven seconds left lifted Fort Wayne Snider to a 34-31 win over Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger.
After he was suspended for throwing a crate of water bottles that ended up hitting a student, Tippecanoe Valley head football coach Stephen Moriarty has returned to the staff as an assistant for the remainder of the season. Longtime assistant and former head coach Jeff Shriver will continue running the program for the rest of the season. According to a release from the school, Moriarty threw two crates of water bottles during halftime of the September 29 game against Rochester. One of those bottles ended up hitting a student, which forced him to sit out the rest of the game. The school didn't release any information about the player involved, but they did say he has been cleared to play again.
