Wide receiver Quay Guilford of Fort Wayne Northrop High School has been named the Colts/Nike "Next One," the Indianapolis Colts announced today.
The Next Ones program, in its second year, is an invite-only event for the top 32 high school prospects representing each NFL market, plus one international prospect.
The attendees are invited to New Orleans to experience behind-the-scenes action at Super Bowl LIX, compete in a skills clinic at Caesars Superdome Stadium and interact with their fellow athletes who will be playing at the collegiate level.
The Colts Football Development Team, including Colts legend Mike Prior (above left), visited Fort Wayne Northrop earlier today to surprise Guilford (above right) with the recognition.
Guilford, currently the second-ranked high school football prospect from Indiana, is an established member of the Fort Wayne Northrop offense, racking up more than 1,000 all-purpose yards and eight touchdowns. The junior is a two-year starter for the Bruins offense and recently committed to attend Penn State University,
