TOP PERFORMERS
Elwood senior running back Sammy Mireles became the state's all-time leading rusher by running 34 times for 350 yards and five touchdowns in a 49-42 win over Alexandria. Mireles now has 7,700 career yards, shattering the previous mark of 7,560 yards by Otis Shannon of Indianapolis Cathedral.
Jacob Fleming's three field goals paved the way for top-ranked Evansville Mater Dei to post a 16-14 win over Evansville Reitz in front of 9,300 fans at the Reitz Bowl. Malik Higgins caught a pair of touchdown passes for Reitz.
Avion Sullivan ran 31 times for 305 yards and four touchdowns, helping Evansville Central claim the Northside Trophy with a 49-21 win over Evansville North. Austin Fuchs chipped in 100 yards and one score on 17 attempts for the Bears.
Chris Evans scored three second half touchdowns and rushed for 116 yards, leading Indianapolis Ben Davis to a 28-24 victory over Carmel. Kyle Castner added 246 yards passing and one touchdown, and Michael Beaty had 11 catches for 127 yards and one score as Ben Davis rallied from a 24-0 halftime deficit. Asmar Bilal chipped in 10.5 tackles, including nine solos, for the Giants. Isaac James ran for 95 yards and three touchdowns for the Greyhounds.
Sophomore quarterback Luke Johnston was 20-of-29 passing for 274 yards and three touchdowns as Southport completed its first unbeaten regular season since 1949 with a 28-21 victory over Columbus North. Christian Perry added 170 yards on the ground and one score, and Klayton Byrd had seven catches for 142 yards and one tally for the Cardinals. Michael Vogel accounted for 166 total yards with one touchdown rushing and one passing for the Bulldogs.
Zach Martin had two carries for 102 yards and two touchdowns, lifting Eastbrook to a 69-0 blanking of Frankton. Jacob Singer chipped in two rushes for 88 yards and two scores to go along with a touchdown pass as the Panthers limited Frankton to minus-15 total yards for the contest.
Jordan Scheessele passed for 151 yards in Evansville Memorial's 10-3 loss to Castle.
Matt DeSomer accounted for more than 350 yards and three touchdowns, helping Andrean to a 42-28 win over Lowell. DeSomer was 11-of-17 passing for 185 yards and two scores to go along with 25 carries for 167 yards and one tally. Trevor Berg added 25 rushes for 104 yards and three scores to help the 59ers claim the Northwest Crossroads League title. George Fields ran 17 times for 124 yards and three scores, while Paul Mauer and Ike James chipped in 11 and 10 tackles respectively for the Red Devils.
Tristan Peterson carried the football 39 times for 200 yards and four touchdowns in Crown Point's 37-29 win over Michigan City. Jake Jatis added 142 yards passing and one score for the Bulldogs. Ryan Washington tossed for 237 yards and ran for two scores for the Wolves.
Gaige Klingsmith had 35 rushes for 160 yards with two touchdowns and a two-point conversion, lifting Floyd Central to 35-34 win over New Albany. Nick Uhl chipped in seven carries for 110 yards and one score, and Colton Kimm added 207 yards through the air for Floyd Central. Garry Posey ran and caught a pass for scores, while Jacob Trudeau recorded 16 tackles, Logan Hanger added 12 tackles, and Chase Herron had 11 tackles for the Highlanders. Zach Donan scored two touchdowns, and Vincent Falcone booted field goals of 32 and 34 yards for the Bulldogs.
The one-two punch of Taylor Sanders and Derrick Wilkerson combined for more than 300 yards rushing as Indianapolis Pike cruised to a 34-3 win over Lawrence Central. Sanders had 20 rushes for 159 yards and three touchdowns, while Wilkerson added 18 carries for 154 yards for the Red Devils, who lost Tennessee recruit Dominique Booth to a dislocated elbow in the first quarter.
Blake Luker was 11-of-18 passing for 145 yards and three touchdowns, leading New Palestine to a 20-0 blanking of Mount Vernon (Fortville). Luker also ran for 85 yards, and Nolan Guedel added two catches for scores for the Dragons.
Alex Mis, Dom Lucito, and Alex Pickett scored two touchdowns apiece, lifting Munster to a 48-28 victory over Kankakee Valley. Mis ran 19 times for 200 yards and Lucito added 110 yards on the ground on 14 carries for the Mustangs.
Brandon Scott rushed for 115 yards and two touchdowns as Lake Central downed Valparaiso, 21-15, to secure second place in the Duneland Conference.
Anthony Moyers rushed for 146 yards and two touchdowns, helping Hammond Noll finish the regular season with a winning record for the first time in six years with a 34-7 victory over North Newton.
Bryant Isabell rushed for 159 yards and two touchdowns as Merrillville won the Duneland Athletic Conference championship with a 31-7 victory over turnover-plagued Chesterton. The Pirates took advantage of eight turnovers by the Trojans to claim their seventh consecutive victory.
Hashim Simpson rushed for 111 yards and three touchdowns and added a two-point conversion pass on the final play of the game to give Portage a hard-fought 36-35 double-overtime victory over LaPorte for its fifth straight win. Mike Ash completed 15-of-20 passes for 112 yards and four touchdowns, two of them going to Luc McCarty, and Charles Salary rushed for 143 yards and one score for LaPorte.
Freddy Creater had a 65-yard touchdown run and Mark Snorton added a 27-yard scoring run as Hammond Morton exploded for 28 first quarter points on its way to a 47-14 victory over Hammond Gavit to win the Great Lakes Athletic Conference title. Jarrett Dickey added a 60-yard punt return touchdown for the Governors (8-1).
Andrew Barras completed 10-of-16 passes for 133 yards and a touchdown, lifting Hobart to a 20-7 win over Highland to snap a four-game losing streak.
Ethan Young rushed 31 times for 269 yards and five touchdowns, guiding Whiting to the Greater South Shore Conference championship with a 34-14 win over Lake Station.
Kyle Sturdy had four rushing touchdowns as South Central picked up its fifth straight win with a 34-20 decision over River Forest.
Kyle Burch did it all for Wheeler in a 23-22 victory over Calumet. Burch had a pair of touchdown receptions, an interception, and made the tackle on Calumet's two–point conversion attempt with 11 seconds remaining to secure the victory.
Kyle Buikema rushed for 117 yards and three touchdowns as Griffith outscored Bowman Academy, 56-38.
Martayveus Carter ran for two touchdowns and recovered a fumble for another tally, lifting East Chicago Central to a 27-25 win over S.B. Adams. Shaq Vann found the end zone four times for Adams.
J.T Garnett passed for two touchdowns and ran for a third tally as Winamac captured its first outright Midwest Conference title since 2000 with a 47-13 win over Frontier. Keegan Kasten added two scores for the Warriors.
Cameron Kitson rambled for 172 yards and one touchdown, helping Fairfield down Culver Military Academy, 28-12, for its seventh straight win. Lucas Miller added two scores for the Falcons. Ryan Graf kicked field goals of 24 and 29 yards for the Eagles.
Morgan Moore's 95-yard interception return for a touchdown along with Marco Olivares' extra-point helped Lakeland to a 14-13 win over Churubusco and a share of the Northeast Corner Conference title with Fairfield. William Kelly added 117 yards passing and one scoee for the Lakers.
Carter Screeton's three touchdowns paved the way for Rochester to post a 43-0 win over North Miami and earn a piece of the Three Rivers Conference championship.
Ethan Nicodemus threw a pair of touchdown passes and ran for 139 yards and a third score as Whitko downed Tippecanoe Valley, 34-21, to share the Three Rivers Conference crown with Rochester. Tanner Hughes chipped in 105 yards on the ground and one score for the Wildcats. Tanner Andrews scored twice, and Ben Shriver tossed for 166 yards and one touchdown for Tippy Valley.
Justin Mersch and Sam Kiser accounted for six touchdowns in Pioneer's 50-36 win over West Central. Mersch ran for 119 yards and three scores, and Kiser threw for two scores and ran for 194 yards and another tally for the Panthers. Parker Fritz paced the Trojans with three touchdown runs.
Joe Phillips tallied 205 yards rushing and four touchdowns as Elkhart Central snapped a six-game losing skid with a 28-27 overtime win over Marian. Ryan Schafer passed for 106 yards for Marian.
Ryan Zellmer ran for three touchdowns in Bremen's 42-14 win over Glenn.
Wade Young scored four rushing touchdowns as New Prairie extended its scoreless streak to 19 quarters with a 61-0 blanking of Knox. Tyler Weller had nine carries for 143 yards and two scores, and Zach Brassell added a scoring run and pass for the Cougars.
Casey Adams rambled for 87 yards and two touchdowns, leading Jimtown to a 56-0 decision over Triton. Marquise Schieber tossed a scoring pass and returned a punt 77 yards for another tally for the Jimmies.
Preston Hansel accounted for six touchdowns as Culver rallied for a 43-36 win over LaVille. Hansel ran for four scores and threw for two more for the Cavaliers. Ethan Kertai had a touchdown run and an 86-yars kickoff return for another score for the Lancers.
Travis Schlabach had 15 carries for 102 yards and two touchdowns, helping Northridge (7-2) close its best season since 1977 with a 27-0 blanking of Elkhart Memorial.
Nick DeFreese had a fumble recovery and an interception as Concord claimed the school's fourth straight Northern Lakes Conference title with a 28-0 blanking of Warsaw.
Nate Prescott's 25-yard field goal in the closing minute allowed Wawasse to escape with a 17-14 win over Goshen. Gage Reinhard tossed for 215 yards and two touchdowns, and Austin Lutz added seven catches for 149 yards and one score for the Warriors. Cameron Kline accounted for more than 130 yards and a touchdown pass for the Redskins, who finished winless in the regular season for the first time since 2004.
Jack Barron had 136 yards passing, including a 64-yard touchdown pass to Dakota Brooke, helping Plymouth rally for a 21-14 win over NorthWood. Kyle Lacefield had an interception and fumble recovery for the Rockies, who came back from a 14-0 deficit. Tanner Cleveland ran for 62 yards and two scores for the Panthers.
Thomas Capers rushed for 216 yards and three touchdowns, lifting S.B. Riley to a 23-7 win over S.B. Clay. Daigien Morgan added 100 yards on the ground as the Wildcats clinched their first winning regular season since 2000.
Central Michigan bound quarterback Zach Oakley tallied over 300 total yards and four touchdowns as Penn won its 32nd Northern Indiana Conference title with a 28-7 decision over rival Mishawaka. Oakley had 14 carries for 194 yards and two touchdowns and threw for 116 yards and two scores to Inoke Moala for the Kingsmen. Tanner Bradley paced the Cavemen with 135 yards rushing and one touchdown.
Matt Monserez threw three touchdown passes, two going to Eric Mossey, in S.B. St. Joseph's 42-0 shutout over S.B. Washington. Tajah Smith added two scores, including a 69-yard punt return, for the Indians.
Ariest Vasquez ran 16 times for 197 yards and three touchdowns, helping New Haven claim the Northeast Hoosier Conference crown with a 45-20 win over Homestead. Vasquez also had a 40-yard return of a fumble for a score, and Vance Shearer passed for 114 yards and two touchdowns to Jordan Hogue for the Bulldogs. Logan Ormsby threw for 221 yards and two scores for the Spartans.
Mike Lovett tallied more than 250 yards and five touchdowns as F.W. North captured its first Summit Athletic Conference title since 1991 with a 42-16 win over F.W. Northrop. Lovett ran for 174 yards and three scores and passed for 74 yards and two tallies. Nick Cook added 98 yards on the ground and two touchdowns for the Redskins.
Jordan Hissong had eight carries for 102 yards and three touchdowns, helping Leo capture the Allen County Athletic Conference title with a 45-0 shutout over Bluffton. Joe Lambright recorded 10 solo tackles for the Lions.
Greg White intercepted three passes and returned two for touchdowns in Woodlan's 28-7 win over Adams Central. White also ran for a score, and Jaylin Bennett rambled for 166 yards and one score for the Warriors.
Justyn Hart ran 21 times for 174 yards and three touchdowns, lifting Heritage to a 26-14 win over Garrett. Branson Dossen added 116 yards through the air and also ran for a score for the Patriots. Noah Follett tossed for 110 yards and two touchdowns and also rushed for 131 yards and one score for the Railroaders.
Drue and Justin Tranquill combined for more than 275 yards rushing and five touchdowns in F.W. Carroll's 79-7 thrashing of DeKalb. Justin Tranquill ran for 157 yards and three scores, while Drue Tranquill added 119 yards and two tallies for the Chargers.
Piercen Harnish rushed for 129 yards and three touchdowns and passed for 146 yards and two more scores, leading Norwell to a 35-21 win over Columbia City. Jeremy Davis added two scoring receptions for the Knights. Trevor Bolt threw for 221 yards and one touchdown, and Dane Asplund added three catches for 127 yards and one score for the Eagles.
Daniel Beeks scored twice, including a 26-yard interception return, lifting Southern Wells to a 19-12 win over South Adams. Derek Wanner tossed for 136 yards and one touchdown, and Skylar Schloch chipped in two receptions for 130 yards and one score for South Adams.
Brandon Mable ran the ball 19 times for 113 yards and three touchdowns, helping East Noble to a 34-7 win over Bellmont. Grey Fox added seven catches for 117 yards for the Knights.
David Morrison completed 20-of-29 passes for 299 yards and three touchdowns and also ran 63 yards and two scores, guiding F.W. Concordia to a 34-27 win over Brebeuf Jesuit. Jake Minich hauled in 12 passes for 204 yards and two scores for the Cadets. LaVante Bellamy ran 16 times for 166 yards and two touchdowns, and Aaron Banks threw for 137 yards and one score and ran for another tally for the Braves.
Mike Fiacable tossed for 230 yards and two touchdowns in F.W. Bishop Dwenger's 36-2 win over F.W. Bishop Luers. Ryan Watercutter added four catches for 117 yards and one touchdown and also ran for a score for the Saints.
Shaton Harris found the end zone three times as F.W. South cruised to a 51-20 win over Gary Wallace. Dionte Walker chipped in two scores for the Archers.
Carrington Crutcher ran 26 times for 197 yards and four touchdowns, helping Evansville Bosse capture the East Bowl with a 40-18 win over Evansville Harrison. Ian Nunley added 212 yards passing and one score for the Bulldogs. Deayrius Jackson carried the ball 15 times for 101 yards and two scores for Harrison.
John Kissel's two touchdowns allowed Gibson Southern to claim the Pocket Athletic Conference title with a 31-21 win over Southridge. Luke Stetler paced Southridge with two scores.
Jake Burden ran for two touchdowns in South Spencer's 17-14 win over Heritage Hills. Logan Wilkerson tossed for two scores for Heritage Hills.
Jaden Arvin found the end zone twice to lead Washington to its first win with a 28-13 decision over North Knox.
Josh Taylor's four touchdown runs paved the way for Tecumseh to post a 55-12 win over Eastern Greene.
Elliott Brown rambled for 286 yards and four touchdowns, leading Tell City to a 47-7 decision over Forest Park.
Nolan Ahrens hooked up with Zach Wood for three touchdowns, lifting Jasper to a 42-14 win over Mount Vernon (Posey).
Deon Hardiman carried the football 27 times for 309 yards and scored seven total touchdowns, guiding Princeton to a 55-27 win Vincennes Lincoln.
Lucas Lorian guided South Putnam to its first West Central Conference championship since 1999 with 258 yards rushing and three touchdowns in the Eagles' 42-0 blanking of Cascade.
Nate Brown ran for 104 yards and Tyler Land chipped in 88 yards and two touchdowns, helping North Putnam get into the win column for the first time with a 24-21 decision over Cloverdale.
Tyler Scott threw for 377 yards and one touchdown, lifting Greencastle to a 33-20 win over Owen Valley. Alec Pettit tallied four touchdowns, and Seth Brown added 13 catches for 213 yards and one score for the Tiger Cubs. Seth Sparks scored two touchdowns for Owen Valley.
Austin Hooker ran for two touchdowns and threw a scoring pass to Nate Hein, leading Tipton to a 38-0 blanking of Delphi. Hein added a scoring on the ground for the Blue Devils.
Kyle Hendershot passed for 207 yards and three touchdowns and ran for another tally as Tri-West captured the Sagamore Conference title with a 54-14 drubbing of Crawfordsville. Wes Cook added a touchdown catch and run, and Colton Jobe ran for two scores for the Bruins.
Jalen West threw for 167 yards and one touchdown and ran for 81 yards and another score as North Montgomery cruised to a 56-32 win over Danville. Chase Mahoy added two scores on the ground for the Chargers. Christian Schabel ran for 123 yards and one touchdown and passed for 98 yards and another score, and Autry Pickens rambled for 238 yards and three scores for the Warriors.
Ryalan Arihood scored four touchdowns in Rensselaer Central's 47-0 shutout of Benton Central. Luke Robertson chipped in 2.5 quarterback sacks and field goals of 27 and 41 yards for the Bombers.
Joe Smith had 94 yards rushing and three touchdowns in Lafayette Central Catholic's 27-26 overtime win over previously unbeaten West Lafayette for the Hoosier Conference title. Ty Preston tossed for 258 yards and one score for the Knights. Maurice Woodard carried the football 36 times for 274 yards and three touchdowns, and Parker Ronchetto added 132 yards rushing and 100 yards passing and one score for the Red Devils.
Tyler Janney passed for 146 yards and one touchdowns along with eight carries for 100 yards as Hamilton Southeastern rolled to a 42-21 win over McCutcheon. Hunter Hardee found the end zone twice for the Royals. Nate Deno ran 25 times for 158 yards and one touchdown and also caught a pass for a score, and Blake Elming chipped in four rushes for 86 yards and one touchdown for the Mavericks.
Nick Ferrer completed 17-of-20 passes for 189 yards and four touchdowns as top-ranked (Class 5A) Westfield claimed a share of the Hoosier Crossroads Conference crown with Fishers with a 38-14 win over Lafayette Jeff. Elvin Caldwell ran for 115 yards and caught a touchdown pass for the Shamrocks. Darian Green ran 23 times for 108 yards and one score for the Broncos.
Cody Smith rambled for 143 yards and two touchdowns, helping Noblesville to a 35-0 shutout over Harrison (West Lafayette). Jake Lasky had 117 yards passing for Harrison.
Jaden Renau scored two touchdowns as Carroll (Flora) downed North White, 26-6.
Blake Justice passed for two touchdowns and ran for 135 yards and one score in Tri-County's 28-27 win over Caston. Quentin Douglass raced for 208 yards and two scores for Caston.
Cody Parker scored three touchdowns, including two fumble returns, lifting Attica to a 61-8 win over Turkey Run. Lance Whorrall returned an interception and punt for scores, and Brady Sheridan threw three touchdown passes for the Red Ramblers.
Daniel Harrison and Jared Fishero tallied three touchdowns apiece in Fountain Central's 55-27 win over Rockville. Harrison ran 19 times for 155 yards, and Fishero added 77 yards on the ground. Koby Peirce was 10-of-13 through the air for 220 yards and two scores for the Mustangs.
Cameron Bennington racked up more than 450 total yards and six touchdowns as Twin Lakes rolled to a 62-20 win over North Judson. Bennington passed for 332 yards and five scores and ran for 120 yards and another tally. Bryce Bennington had five catches for 132 yards and three touchdowns, and Corbin Tirpak caught seven passes for 136 yards and two scores for the Indians.
Bo Baker rambled for 185 yards and three touchdowns, helping Kokomo cruise to a 42-7 win over Anderson. Baker also caught a pass for a score, Jordan Rollins passed and ran for touchdowns, and Jeron Gray rushed for 142 yards and one score for the Wildkats.
Curtis Townsend rushed for 174 yards and two touchdowns, leading Northwestern to a 48-20 win over Eastern (Greentown). Austin Bates was 17-of-32 passing for 306 yards and three touchdowns for Eastern.
Ben Lenanhan scored two touchdowns as Western earned a share of the Mid-Indiana Conference title with Hamilton Heights by posting a 23-8 win over Lewis Cass.
Cody Howell passed for 99 yards and two touchdowns as Tri-Central used a balanced attack to down Sheridan, 33-27, and win the Hoosier Heartland Conference crown. Austin Hoover ran for 117 yards and four touchdowns for Sheridan.
Freshman Antonyo Gaddie ran for 96 yards and two touchdowns and passed for a third score, lifting Charlestown to a 64-0 blanking of Eastern Pekin. Jimmy Garcia chipped in 81 yards on the ground and two scores for the Pirates.
Dorian Noel had three carries for 115 yards and three touchdowns, leading Providence to a 62-12 thrashing of Clarksville. Matt Bell added two scores on the ground for the Pioneers.
Jamal Britt threw for 267 yards and two touchdowns and ran for a third tally as Jeffersonville snapped a four-game losing skid with a 33-7 win over Jennings County. Shawn Roulson tallied 162 yards rushing and on score on 12 carries, and Dionte Allen added a scoring run and reception for the Red Devils.
Sam Fette was 15-of-23 through the air for 320 yards and four touchdowns in Lawrenceburg's 45-28 win over Silver Creek. Fette also ran for a score, and Zach Steuer caught two touchdown passes, ran for a score, and returned a kickoff 90 yards for another tally for the Tigers. Brooks Howell threw three scoring passes, and Bobby Haines added two touchdown catches and an 83-Yard kickoff return for the Dragons.
Jordan Christian tossed for 245 yards and three touchdowns, helping Richmond claim the North Central Conference title with a 28-14 win over Logansport. Tyler Rippenger had 10 catches for 117 yards and one score, Matt Morrow added two scoring catches, and Justin Holland ran 15 times for 128 yards for the Red Devils. Isaac Eastburn ran and caught a pass for touchdowns, and Michael Leonard recorded 14 tackles, two for losses, and an interception for the Berries.
Jonah Thacker ran for 120 yards and two touchdowns, leading Triton Central to a 31-7 win over Speedway. Dillon Nelson tossed for 103 yards and two scores for the Tigers.
Jake White passed for five touchdowns in Heritage Christian's 48-22 win over Indianapolis Northwest. Andy Hunt added three touchdown catches and two scoring runs for the Eagles.
Luke Calvert threw for 237 yards and three touchdowns as Center Grove rolled up 637 yards of offense in a 55-37 win Cincinnati LaSalle. Max Norris rambled 13 times for 294 yards and three touchdowns for the Trojans.
Collin Barthel tossed for 178 yards and one touchdown in Indianapolis Cathedral's 35-14 loss to Cincinnati Moelller. Evan Whigham caught five passes for 158 yards and one score, and Terry McLaurin ran a kickoff back 98 yards for the Irish.
Max Hernandez was a jack of all trades in Warren Central's 34-28 win over St. Xavier (Ohio). Hernandez returned a fumble 23 yards for a touchdown, kicked field goals of 48 and 38 yards, and booted four extra points. Jeff George passed for 123 yards and one score, and Adrian Smith ran for two touchdowns for the Warriors.
Connor Smith completed 29-of-43 passes for 373 yards and four touchdowns as Perry Meridian rolled to a 45-24 win over Bloomington South. Andrew Robinson hauled in two passes for scores for the Falcons. Bryce Stancomb passed for 182 yards and one score, and Eli Eads ran for 135 yards and two scores for the Panthers.
Colin McManana raced for 158 yards and one touchdown, lifting Indianapolis Roncalli to a 36-7 win over East Central. David Holtkamp added two scoring runs for the Rebels. Andrew Keilholtz rushed for 137 yards for the Trojans.
Nolan Ayers accounted for more than 150 yards of offense and four touchdowns in Indianapolis Scecina's 49-13 win over Indianapolis Lutheran. Ayers passed for 99 yards and two scores and ran for 63 yards and two tallies, while Elijah Broschart and Jordan Brown chipped in two touchdowns apiece for the Crusaders. Dylan Goddard rushed for two scores for the Saints.
Isaiah Calaway passed for 187 yards and two touchdowns to Donnie Richards, leading Whiteland to 28-7 win over Greenwood. Richards finished with five catches for 187 yards for the Warriors.
Brendan Smith accounted for almost 200 total yards and four touchdowns as Indian Creek cruised to a 42-16 win over South Decatur. Smith had eight catches for 120 yards and three scores and ran four times for 72 yards and one tally. Gynson Robley completed 8-of-10 passes for 167 yards and one score for the Braves.
Maurice Campbell ran for 110 yards and three touchdowns, guiding Fishers to a 41-17 win over Brownsburg and a share of the Hoosier Crossroads Conference title. Connor Christiansen was 12-of-15 passing for 210 yards and two touchdowns for the Tigers. Hunter Johnson threw for 118 yards and two scores for the Bulldogs.
