INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Colts today signed tight end Gabe Holmes to a reserve/future contract.
Holmes, 6-5, 255 pounds, has played in 10 career games (four starts) in his time with the Arizona Cardinals (2017-18), Baltimore Ravens (2017), Seattle Seahawks (2017) and Oakland Raiders (2015-16). He originally signed with the Raiders as an undrafted free agent on May 8, 2015.
In 2018, Holmes played in eight games (four starts) with the Cardinals and also spent time on the team's practice squad. He appeared in two games in 2017 with Arizona. In 2017, Holmes also spent time on the practice squads of the Cardinals, Ravens and Seahawks. He spent the entire 2016 season on the Raiders' Injured Reserve list. As a rookie in 2015, Holmes spent time on Oakland's active roster and practice squad but did not see game action.
