Colts announce 5 inactive players for Week 9 game vs. Minnesota Vikings

Quarterback Anthony Richardson (back) was ruled out on Friday.

The Colts on Saturday downgraded quarterback Anthony Richardson (foot, back) to out for Sunday's game. 

Wide receiver Alec Pierce (concussion) and linebacker E.J. Speed (knee) were ruled out on Friday.

Wide receiver Josh Downs (shoulder) is active for Sunday's game. 

The Colts on Friday ruled out center Tanor Bortolini (concussion), right tackle Braden Smith (personal matter) and wide receivers Ashton Dulin (ankle) and Josh Downs (shoulder).

The Colts on Saturday activated defensive tackle DeForest Buckner and linebacker Cameron McGrone from injured reserve, and both will play Sunday against the Texans. 

The Colts on Friday ruled out running back Jonathan Taylor (ankle) and cornerback Chris Lammons (ankle).

Quarterback Anthony Richardson (oblique) is inactive for the second consecutive game, though on Sunday he is designated as the Colts' emergency third quarterback.
