HOUSTON – The Colts on Sunday announced six inactive players for their Week 8 game against the Houston Texans at NRG Stadium:

  • DE Genard Avery (foot)
  • QB Sam Ehlinger (3rd QB)
  • WR Anthony Gould
  • CB David Long Jr.
  • DE Isaiah Land
  • C Danny Pinter

The Colts on Saturday activated defensive tackle DeForest Buckner and linebacker Cameron McGrone from injured reserve and removed each player's questionable game status designation. Both Buckner and McGrone are active against the Texans; it'll be Buckner's first game since Week 2 and McGrone's season debut.

No other Colts players were listed as questionable on the Colts' final practice report of Week 8. Running back Jonathan Taylor will play Sunday for the first time since sustaining an ankle injury in the Colts' Week 4 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Avery was ruled out Friday; the Colts also ruled out linebacker Jaylon Carlies (fibula/shoulder), who was placed on injured reserve on Saturday.

The Texans, meanwhile, will be without two starting linebackers (Azeez Al-Shaiir and Henry To'o To'o) and a starting safety (Jimmie Ward) on Sunday. Star wide receiver Nico Collins is also on injured reserve and is out.
