Played in 26 games (13 starts) at Ohio State University at safety where he helped lead the Buckeyes to a 2015 Fiesta Bowl win and a 2016 appearance in the College Football Playoff.
Led the nation with three interceptions returned for touchdowns in 2016, ranked second nationally with 181 interception return yards and finished third in the nation in total interceptions with seven.
Was named a unanimous First Team All-America choice in 2016 and a Thorpe Award semifinalist, an award given annually to the nation's top defensive back.

Attended New Castle (Pa.) High School and played two seasons of football, beginning in 2012, and started both seasons at wide receiver and cornerback.
Pushed his 7-3 team to the state playoffs in 2013 and was named to the Pennsylvania Football Writers Class AAA All-State team.
Was considered to be a Division I basketball recruit. Won back-to-back league championships his sophomore and junior year, leading his team to a 52-2 record.
Considered a four-star recruit by ESPN and the 50th best athlete of his class.
