INDIANAPOLIS – Fans will have a chance prior to Sunday's game to help brighten the holidays for local children in need. On Sunday, December 7, 2008, the Indianapolis Colts, WISH-TV and the Salvation Army will once again team up for the WISH Tree Toy Drive. Prior to kickoff of the Colts vs. Bengals game, WISH-TV personalities, Salvation Army volunteers, and Colts Jr. Cheerleaders will collect new, unwrapped toys at the Colts Community Collection Stations outside each of the Lucas Oil Stadium gates from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Age appropriate gifts for children infant to 12-years-old are needed. Toy donations should be new and unwrapped. Monetary donations will also be accepted. A few gift ideas include: stuffed animals, infant toys, board games, dolls, sports equipment, electronic games, bikes, or any other age appropriate toy.
The first 5,000 fans who donate a toy on Sunday will receive a limited edition Colts holiday poster featuring Colts S Bob Sanders, provided by Sport Graphics. All toys will be donated to the Salvation Army for their annual "Toy Shop" event. For more information on the Indiana Division of the Salvation Army, click here.
