Colts Women's Organization, Zeta Tau Alpha Support Breast Cancer AwarenessINDIANAPOLIS – This month, the NFL is thinking pink. To support Breast Cancer Awareness Month, teams across the nation will don pink ribbons this weekend and host various initiatives to raise awareness for this widespread disease. The Indianapolis Colts Women's Organization (ICWO) is also doing its part to support these efforts.
Prior to kickoff of the Colts vs. Ravens game on Sunday, October 12, representatives from the ICWO will be selling limited edition pink horseshoe t-shirts outside the Lucas Oil North Gate near Capitol Avenue and in the American Family Fan Zone at Lucas Oil Stadium.
The t-shirts will be available from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the specially marked tables in those areas. Each t-shirt is $20 with all proceeds benefiting local cancer research efforts. In addition, a $10,000 check presentation will be made at halftime to Indiana University Breast Cancer Research.
ICWO members will also be joined by volunteers from the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority to distribute pink ribbons to fans as they enter the stadium on Sunday. Fans are encouraged to "Think Pink" by wearing the ribbons during the game.
