PATRIOT WAY:On Sunday, the NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS defeated Houston 34-31 and are now guaranteed to finish the year with a winning record for the 13th consecutive season, the longest such active streak and tied for the sixth-longest all-time. SEATTLE SLINGER:Seattle quarterback RUSSELL WILSON completed 22 of 30 passes for 310 yards and three touchdowns for a 139.6 passer rating in the Seahawks' 34-7 win over New Orleans on Monday night.
Wilson (22 in 2013; 26 in 2012) is now one of only four players in NFL history to pass for at least 20 touchdowns in each of their first two seasons.
Pro Football Hall of Famer DAN MARINO (20 in 1983; 48 in 1984), PEYTON MANNING (26 in 1998 and 1999) and ANDY DALTON (20 in 2011; 27 in 2012) also accomplished the feat.
Wilson (48) also surpassed Dalton for the third-most touchdown passes in a quarterback's first two seasons in NFL history.
