Earlier this year it was announced that the Colts, the Pacers, and Emmis Communications were teaming up to make a difference in Indianapolis Public Schools through the "Suiting Up for School" drive. Through donations and charity auctions, the goal is to raise money to purchase school uniforms, supplies, and meals for students.

Funds collected will be distributed to the Shepherd Community Center, the IPS Education Foundation, Gleaner's Food Bank and the United Way's Backpack Attack Program.
There are currently 35,000 children enrolled in there Indianapolis Public school system. According to the USDA many of these children live at or below poverty level. Most of them cannot afford school uniforms or supplies. On the east side of Indianapolis, 8 out of 10 do not get two meals a day unless they are in school. Roughly half of these children graduate high school.
