Colts Women's Organization Supports Humane
Society
INDIANAPOLIS - For all the dog lovers out there - this story is for you. Whether you own a dog, or just have a fond appreciation for man's best friend, it's time to grab your walking shoes and get moving for a great cause.
Later this month, the Indianapolis Colts Women's Organization (ICWO) is teaming up with the Humane Society of Indianapolis (HSI) to participate in the annual Mutt Strut at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Through this event, the Humane Society is encouraging dog owners (and other dog lovers) to bring their furry friends out to the track on April 27 to help raise funds for homeless pets in Central Indiana.
There are a couple ways you can join the ICWO to support this great cause:
- Sign up to participate in the 2008 Annual Mutt Strut by visiting www.indyhumane.org.
- Support the ICWO Mutt Strut Team (also known as the ICWO Canine
Corral) by donating online at www.colts.com/muttstrut.
Whichever way you choose to support the Mutt Strut, your tax-deductible donation will go directly to helping rescue the more than 9,000 pets that HCI takes in every year. All adoptable pets are spayed or neutered before going to new homes, helping to reduce Indy's pet overpopulation problem. Additionally, HSI provides obedience training, behavioral counseling, and an off-leash pet park to further enhance the human-pet bond. All of these services help the pets of central Indiana find lifetime and loving homes.
So get out your walking shoes and join us on April 27 as we strut our mutts around the track for a great cause!
