INDIANAPOLIS —While the final result still matters — they all do — to Chuck Pagano, one of the most important aspects of preseason games, he says, is to get solid individual evaluations of each and every player who steps out onto the field for the Indianapolis Colts.

On Sunday, Pagano and his staff got their first chance to see their 2017 squad in game action, as they took on the Detroit Lions in their preseason opener at Lucas Oil Stadium.

The final result was a 24-10 victory for the visitors, but just as important, the Colts now have game film of the 69 players who participated in the game that they can evaluate today, and then come Tuesday go over with those players to applaud what went right, and correct what went wrong.
