Roster Moves: Colts Sign CB Lenzy Pipkins To Practice Squad

The Indianapolis Colts today signed cornerback Lenzy Pipkins to their practice squad, and released cornerback D.J. White from the practice squad.

INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Colts today signed cornerback Lenzy Pipkins to the practice squad and released cornerback D.J. White from the practice squad.

Pipkins, 6-0, 196 pounds, was acquired by the team via trade with the Green Bay Packers on August 26, 2018 before being waived during final cuts on September 1. As a rookie in 2017, he played in 12 games (one start) for the Packers and registered 17 tackles (13 solo), 1.0 tackle for loss, one pass defensed and one special teams stop. Pipkins was originally signed by Green Bay as an undrafted free agent on May 5, 2017.

Collegiately, Pipkins started 22-of-47 games at Oklahoma State (2016) and Louisiana-Monroe (2013-15) and totaled 142 tackles (94 solo), 8.0 tackles for loss, 2.0 sacks, 12 passes defensed, three interceptions and one forced fumble.

White, 5-11, 193 pounds, was signed to the team's practice squad on September 2. He participated in the Colts' 2018 offseason program and training camp before being waived during final cuts on September 1. White has played in 13 career games in his time with the Colts (2017) and Chiefs (2016-17) and has totaled 14 tackles (13 solo), three passes defensed and one interception.
