INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Colts today elevated cornerback Lenzy Pipkins to the 53-man roster from the practice squad and placed tackle J'Marcus Webb on the Injured Reserve list. The team also signed cornerback Tarvarus McFadden to the practice squad.
Pipkins, 6-0, 196 pounds, was signed to the Colts practice squad on September 4. He was originally acquired by the team via trade with the Green Bay Packers on August 26, 2018 before being waived during final cuts on September 1. As a rookie in 2017, Pipkins played in 12 games (one start) for the Packers and registered 17 tackles (13 solo), 1.0 tackle for loss, one pass defensed and one special teams stop. He was originally signed by Green Bay as an undrafted free agent on May 5, 2017.
Webb, 6-7, 331 pounds, was signed by Indianapolis as a free agent on July 30, 2018. He started for the team at right tackle in Week 1 vs. Cincinnati. Webb has played in 81 career games (65 starts) in his time with the Colts (2018), Seattle Seahawks (2016), Oakland Raiders (2015), Kansas City Chiefs (2014), Minnesota Vikings (2013-14) and Chicago Bears (2010-12). He was originally selected by the Bears in the seventh round (218th overall) of the 2010 NFL Draft.
McFadden, 6-2, 205 pounds, participated in the San Francisco 49ers' 2018 offseason program and training camp before being waived during final cuts on September 1. He originally signed with the 49ers as an undrafted free agent on May 1, 2018. Collegiately, McFadden started 26-of-33 career games at Florida State and compiled 54 tackles, 3.0 tackles for loss, 16 passes defensed and eight interceptions. He garnered Second Team All-ACC recognition in 2017 and was a First Team All-ACC choice in 2016.
