INDIANAPOLIS —The Indianapolis Colts today signed undrafted free agent tackle Jared Machorro and waived center Anthony Fabiano. Machorro participated in the Colts' 2018 Rookie Mini-Camp on a tryout basis.
Machorro, 6-6, 302 pounds, played in 41 games at Texas A&M-Commerce and finished as one of the most decorated offensive linemen in program history. He was an All-America selection 11 times over his career and was a three-time All-Region selection. Machorro was named the Lone Star Conference Offensive Lineman of the Year in 2017 and was a two-time All-Conference choice (2016, 2017). In 2017, he helped the Lions win the NCAA Division II National Championship. Machorro played in all 15 games and was named a First Team All-America selection by the American Football Coaches Association, D2CCA, D2Football.com and Don Hansen. He saw action in all 12 games in 2016 and garnered Second Team All-America honors from the AFCA and D2CCA. In 2015, Machorro appeared in eight games. As a freshman in 2014, he played in six games. Machorro was also a member of the Texas A&M-Commerce track and field team and competed in the discus, shot put, hammer throw and weight throw.
Fabiano, 6-4, 303 pounds, has played in nine career games (two starts) with the Colts (2017) and Cleveland Browns (2016). In 2017, he spent time on Indianapolis' active roster and practice squad and appeared in five games (one start). Fabiano also spent time on the practice squads of the New England Patriots, New York Giants and Washington Redskins last season. As a rookie in 2016, he spent time on the Cleveland Browns' active roster and practice squad and played in four games (one start). Fabiano originally signed with the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent on May 6, 2016.
