Roster Move: Colts Sign S Tray Matthews To Practice Squad

The Indianapolis Colts today announced the signing of safety Tray Matthews to their practice squad.

INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Colts today signed safety Tray Matthews to the practice squad.

Matthews, 6-1, 213 pounds, participated in the Minnesota Vikings' 2018 offseason program and training camp before being waived during final cuts on September 1. He was originally signed by the Vikings as an undrafted free agent on April 30, 2018. Collegiately, Matthews started 33-of-36 games at Auburn and totaled 181 tackles (105 solo), 4.5 tackles for loss, 1.0 sack, 11 passes defensed, four interceptions, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery. Prior to Auburn, he played in eight games (six starts) at Georgia in 2013 and registered 36 tackles, one interception and one forced fumble as a true freshman.
