The Indianapolis Colts today signed free agent running back Daryl Richardson and placed running back George Winn on the Injured Reserve List.
Richardson, 5-11, 196 pounds, most recently spent time with the Jacksonville Jaguars before being released on May 1, 2017. He has played in 27 career games (three starts) and totaled 169 carries for 697 yards (4.1 avg.) and 38 receptions for 284 yards in his time with the Jaguars (2016), Pittsburgh Steelers (2016) and St. Louis Rams (2012-13). Richardson also previously spent time on the practice squads of the Steelers (2016), Cleveland Browns (2015), Houston Texans (2015) and Jets (2014). He was originally selected by the Rams in the seventh round (252nd overall) of the 2012 NFL Draft out of Abilene Christian.
Winn, 5-11, 215 pounds, was signed by the Colts as a free agent on August 9, 2017. He has played in 19 career games in his time with the New York Giants (2016), Detroit Lions (2014-16), Dallas Cowboys (2013), Pittsburgh Steelers (2013), Oakland Raiders (2013), New England Patriots (2013) and Houston Texans (2013). Winn has compiled 23 carries for 74 yards (3.2 avg.) and two kickoff returns for 28 yards.
