INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Colts today signed free agent cornerback Channing Stribling and waived-injured safety Michael Cirino. If Cirino clears waivers, he will revert to the Colts Injured Reserve list.
Stribling, 6-1, 188 pounds, was originally signed by the Cleveland Browns as an undrafted free agent on May 4, 2017 and spent the first two weeks of the season on the practice squad before being released. He was then signed to the Colts practice squad for six weeks before finishing the season on the 49ers practice squad. Collegiately, Stribling played in 47 games (18 starts) at Michigan and compiled 68 tackles (53 solo), 4.0 tackles for loss, 1.0 sack, one forced fumble, 22 passes defensed and six interceptions (one returned for a touchdown).
Cirino, 5-11, 191 pounds, was signed by the Colts as an undrafted free agent on May 15, 2018. He participated in the Colts' 2018 Rookie Mini-Camp on a tryout basis. Cirino played in 18 games (15 starts) in two seasons (2016-17) at Adams State and totaled 55 tackles (34 solo), 2.0 tackles for loss, 13 passes defensed, three interceptions and three forced fumbles.
