The Indianapolis Colts will travel to Cincinnati for a match-up with the Bengals in its first of three consecutive road contests. Kickoff at Paul Brown Stadium is set for 1 p.m. The two teams are separated by a little more than 100 miles down Interstate 74 and the Colts have had much success on the road, claiming an 8-2 record in games played at Cincinnati. Indianapolis holds an impressive 17-8 all-time series advantage over the Bengals, which includes wins in the last seven regular season games dating back to 1998.
The Colts were defeated in a third straight game by a onescore margin with a 28-24 loss against Kansas City to fall to 0-5 on the year. Curtis Painter threw for 277 yards and two touchdowns while wide receiver Pierre Garcon led the team for the second consecutive week with five receptions for 125 yards and two scores. The Cincinnati Bengals won its second straight game with a 30-20 victory over Jacksonville to improve to 3-2 on the season. Wide receiver A.J. Green led the Bengals with 90 yards and one score.
The Colts will continue their road stretch with a Sunday Night Football contest against the New Orleans Saints on October 23 and will close out the month with a meeting at AFC South Division rival, Tennessee on October 30.
