Game time is slated for 1 p.m. Including playoff games, the Colts hold a 13-7 alltime series advantage over the Chiefs, which includes wins in seven of the last eight regular season contests dating back to 1990. The Colts have also won the last five consecutive games (including playoffs) played in Indianapolis. Over the last ten seasons (2002-11), the Colts rank third in the NFL in wins (24) during the month of October.
Indianapolis fell to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in its last contest by a 24-17 margin on Monday Night Football. Quarterback Curtis Painter threw for 281 yards in his first career NFL start while wide receiver Pierre Garcon set a career high and led the team with 146 yards and two touchdowns. Kansas City earned its first win of the season, defeating the Minnesota Vikings, 22-17. Wide receiver Dwayne Bowe led the team with 107 yards and one touchdown.
The Colts will hit the road for a three-game stretch, which begins with a trip to Cincinnati (Week 6). The Colts will then travel to New Orleans for a Sunday Night Football matchup (Week 7) followed by a visit to Tennessee for an AFC South Division battle against the Titans.
