INDIANAPOLIS – It's the offseason, so Colts.com takes a look at some tweets from Colts players to get an idea of what they are up to during their down time.
Yes, Pat, the Colts will be playing five preseason games in 2016. It means an earlier start to Training Camp. An extra game of film though will certainly help the young guys trying to make the roster. One more opportunity could be the difference for a fringe roster guy. Also, with the Colts' two home preseason contests coming in Games No. 3 and 4, fans will get a chance to see the starters play their longest at Lucas Oil Stadium.
Always in the community, Dwayne Allen will now take his turn behind the wheel for the next week. Allen has trained in Indianapolis this offseason, complimenting the new Colts' strength staff in the work done the past few months. Something to watch in the offseason will be how many double tight end sets we see under coordinator Rob Chudzinski.
Not too many baseball tweets from the Colts' players with Major League Baseball beginning this week. Vontae Davis ranging in the outfield would be something to see. I think Donte Moncrief could also cover a lot of ground in an outfield.
