Piping Noise In? Pagano: "insult to our 12th man"

Chuck Pagano defended fans of his team Wednesday. Read below.

INDIANAPOLIS --- Indianapolis Colts Head Coach Chuck Pagano reacted Wednesday to Baltimore Ravens Head Coach John Harbaugh's tongue-in-cheek comments earlier in the week about crowd noise in Indianapolis.

"We'll have to work on the crowd noise," Harbaugh said Monday. "We had a loud stadium in Cleveland, and it's only going to be louder in Indianapolis because it's indoors. And rumor has it they pipe crowd noise in there. So, we'll see if that's the case or not going back there again. But we'll be looking forward to it."

On Wednesday, Pagano responded to the idea that his team artificially adds noise to its home field advantage:

"To be honest with you we kind of have our blinders on. It's really the first time that I've heard that," said Pagano at his post-practice press conference. "Now that you mention it, I never heard that, him talking about us piping in crowd noise. I think it's more of an insult to our 12th man, if you will. I think he's calling out our fans, which I think are the best fans in the National Football League. So, let's see how our 12th man reacts to that insult."

It will be curious to hear what it sounds like Sunday when the Ravens have the ball.
