INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Colts will once again be without top cornerback Pierre Desir for today's Week 11 divisional showdown against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Another key piece of depth on the offensive side of the ball also won't suit up today.
The team has released its inactives list an hour and a half before kickoff at Lucas Oil Stadium, and among those listed who were either questionable or doubtful heading into the matchup include Desir and running back Jordan Wilkins.
Also inactive today for the Colts: wide receiver Parris Campbell, tackle/guard Le'Raven Clark, wide receiver T.Y. Hilton, quarterback Chad Kelly and cornerback Quincy Wilson.
Desir was originally ruled doubtful on Friday as he continues to battle a nagging hamstring injury suffered back in Week 5 against the Kansas City Chiefs.
After the bye week, Desir was able to play Week 7 against the Houston Texans — finishing with seven tackles and two passes defensed, as well as his first interception of the season — but the veteran cornerback today will now officially be missing his fourth straight game.
Rookie Rock Ya-Sin is expected to once again get the start in Desir's place today against the Jaguars (4-5), who will see the return of starting quarterback Nick Foles; Foles suffered a broken collarbone in Jacksonville's season opener and was initially placed on injured reserve before being brought back to the active roster on Nov. 5.
On the offensive side of the ball, the Colts will be without a key piece of depth at running back in Wilkins, who suffered an ankle injury in last Sunday's game against the Miami Dolphins and didn't return; he was a non-participant in all three practices this week.
On the season, Wilkins, who has played in all nine games with one start, has 27 carries for 165 yards, as well as four receptions for 27 yards; his 6.1 yards-per-carry average ranks sixth in the NFL among players with at least 20 rushing attempts.
Those in line to get more action at running back behind starter Marlon Mack today include Nyheim Hines and Jonathan Williams.
Alie-Cox active
Tight end Mo Alie-Cox (hip), who was also labeled as questionable heading into today's game, is active.
He first appeared on the injury report Wednesday, and he did not participate in practice all week
The second-year tight end this season has played in all nine games with one start, and has five receptions for 49 yards on the year. If Alie-Cox is limited today, the team has two other active tight ends in Jack Doyle and Eric Ebron.
