INDIANAPOLIS – The bye week comes at the perfect time for Colts safety Mike Adams.
Instead of normally traveling to a warm weather destination for the bye, Adams will stay in Indianapolis to try and catch up from Sunday's second-quarter ankle injury.
"I'm healthy," Adams said on ESPN’s 1070 The Fan on Tuesday. "I'm banged up a little bit, but I'll be ready,"
After corralling his 10th interception in two seasons on Sunday, Adams planted to turn upfield when his left ankle gave out.
Adams missed the rest of Sunday's win, but the injury does not appear to be serious. The veteran safety was not wearing a protective boot on Monday at the Indiana Farm Bureau Football Center.
This is Adams' second ankle injury of the season, as he was forced to miss the Saints game a few weeks back. That marked the first time Adams had to miss a game since the 2010 season.
On Monday, Chuck Pagano listed Adams as "day-to-day".
