INDIANAPOLIS –Fourth Quarter Recap
Cody Parkey capped off a 13-play drive by booting home a 31-yard field goal. The field goal gave the Colts a 26-0 lead with 14:56 to go in the fourth quarter.
The Giants got on the board on the next drive. Former Colts quarterback Curtis Painter threw a three-yard touchdown pass to tight end Kellen Davis to cut the lead to 26-7 in the Colts favor.
On the next Colts play from scrimmage, running back Phillip Tanner fumbled and Giants linebacker Spencer Adkins dove on the free ball for a touchdown. The score trimmed the Colts lead to just 12 points at 26-14 with 10:00 to go.
In continuing to chip away at the lead, the Giants cut the lead down to five points thanks to a Michael Cox two-yard touchdown run with 3:59 remaining.
The Giants completed the fourth quarter comeback with a three-yard touchdown pass to Corey Washington with just under a minute to play.

It was an extremely quiet start to the second half with virtually no starters, or even regulars for that matter, seeing playing time.
A pair of cornerbacks that do continue to stick out for the Colts are Marcus Burley and Loucheiz Purifoy.
The Colts did push into Giants territory midway through the quarter and rookie kicker Cody Parkey knocked home a 45-yard field goal to push the Colts lead to 23-0 with 5:54 to go in the third quarter. Parkey now has a field goal and a fumble recovery on the night.

In a drive that began late in the first quarter, the Colts took a 13-0 lead thanks to a 43-yard field goal by Adam Vinatieri. The drive lasted 14 plays and was the final drive of the night for the first team offense. That unit scored on three of their four drives and Luck was 12-of-18 for 89 yards and a touchdown.
The starting secondary saw its night come to an end on the first drive of the second quarter. It was yet another productive series for the defense, forcing a fourth straight punt.
Matt Hasselbeck entered on the Colts fifth offensive drive, with Hugh Thornton, Jonotthan Harrison and Lance Louis the only starters left. The offense didn't miss a beat with Hasselbeck leading the charge. A 10-play drive ended with Hasselbeck finding Da'Rick Rogers for a 14-yard touchdown with 2:06 to go in the second quarter.
Before halftime, Chandler Harnish checked into the game at quarterback.
At the end of the second quarter, the Colts led 20-0.

The Giants won the toss and elected to receive.
With LaRon Landry and Vontae Davis in the starting lineup, the Colts defense forced a three-and-out on the game's opening drive, thanks to some stout run defense.
The Colts offense followed that up with a three-and-out of their own. With Reggie Wayne and T.Y. Hilton sitting out Saturday night's game, Hakeem Nicks and Donte Moncrief got the start with the Colts opening up in a two-receiver, two-tight end set.
A ton of early blitzing out of the Colts first-team defense and it paid off with D'Qwell Jackson getting to Eli Manning for a third-down sack, forcing another three-and-out.
Thanks to six straight passes to finish off the drive, the Colts offense got on the board with Griff Whalen catching a 5-yard touchdown pass with 6:28 to go in the first quarter. Hakeem Nicks currently has three catches for 28 yards.
On the ensuing kickoff, veteran safety Mike Adams forced a fumble and rookie kicker Cody Parkey pounced on the loose ball. The short field allowed Adam Vinatieri to drill home a 53-yard field goal.
The Colts defense forced their third straight punt on the night, overcoming a pair of illegal contact penalties on the drive.
