The Indianapolis Colts will host the Philadelphia Eagles in their fi nal home preseason game of the year. The contest will mark the 21st all-time preseason meeting between the teams, as the overall series is tied, 10-10. In their preseason matchup last season, Indianapolis fell to Philadelphia, 36-10.
Last week, the Colts hosted the Baltimore Ravens in the fi rst preseason contest between the teams.
Quarterback Andrew Luck started the game and completed all eight of his passing attempts for 71 yards. Backup quarterbacks Scott Tolzien (13-of-18 passing for 107 yards) and Stephen Morris (7-of-11 passing for 66 yards) each threw a touchdown as the trio combined to complete 28-of-37 passes for 244 yards and two touchdowns.
The Colts faced a 14-6 deficit heading into halftime after two Adam Vinatieri field goals of 24 and 40 yards.
In the third quarter, Tolzien connected on a one-yard touchdown pass to rookie wide receiver Tevaun Smith to cut the score to 14-12.
Trailing 17-12 in the fourth quarter, Morris led the Colts on an eight play, 64-yard touchdown drive to take an 18-17 lead. On the ensuing twopoint conversion attempt, Baltimore interecepted Morris and returned the ball for a defensive two-point conversion to win the contest, 19-18.
