The Indianapolis Colts will wrap up their 2014 preseason schedule with a road contest against the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday, Aug. 28. Kickoff at Paul Brown Stadium is set for 7 p.m.
The matchup will mark the 14th consecutive meeting between the two teams in the preseason. Cincinnati holds an all-time 14-8 advantage in the overall series, dating back to 1985. The Colts fell to the Bengals in last year's preseason finale at Paul Brown Stadium by a score of 27-10.
Last week, the Colts lost to the New Orleans Saints, 23-17. Wide receiver Reggie Wayne played in his first game since suffering a season-ending injury in Week 7 last year. Quarterback Andrew Luck finished the game completing 10-of-18 passes for 103 yards, one touchdown and one interception. Running back Daniel "Boom" Herron led both teams with eight carries for 68 yards, including a long run of 43 yards.
Defensively, cornerback Josh Gordy recorded the team's first interception of the preseason. Safeties Mike Adams and LaRon Landry and inside linebacker D'Qwell Jackson tied a game high with six tackles apiece.
Following Thursday's contest against the Bengals, the Colts will prepare for the regular season opener against the Broncos on Sunday Night Football at Sports Authority Field at Mile High.
