Davis enters 2017 as the only definite returning secondary starter for the Colts. Injury questions and possible position changes are littered throughout the defensive backfield. The Colts need Davis back to his 2014 Pro Bowl-self next season. The 2017 campaign is a contract year for Davis.
Dwayne Allen is down under in the early part of the offseason. Allen visited with the Cronulla Sharks, a rugby team playing in the National Rugby League (the top Australian Rugby League). Well, this tweet from Mathis indicates he might want to get into the personnel world of the NFL one day. During the final week of the season and in the days after, Mathis did not hesitate when talking about his hope to stick around the game of football. Is that in a coaching or scouting role? Whenever Mathis decides to pursue that career path, he clearly has some high aspirations of possibly becoming an NFL GM.
