INDIANAPOLIS- The 2014 collection took place prior to the Colts vs. Saints game on Saturday, August 23. IFD volunteers collected monetary donations at the Colts Community Collection Stations, presented by Toyota, located outside each Lucas Oil Stadium gate. In the two hours prior to kickoff, firefighters could be seen around the entrances of the stadium collecting donations in firemen boots.
Donations will help combat neuromuscular diseases by supporting programs, comprehensive medical services and support services.
This year the collection raised a total of $3,738.00 for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
The Colts Gameday Collections program will continue to run throughout the 2014 season with a different charitable collection held prior to each home game. Upcoming collections include the Indy BackPack Attack, Books for Youth Drive and WTHR's Coats for Kids. A complete list of future collections is available at www.colts.com/collections.
