Fantasy Football: Week 10 Start 'Em, Sit 'Em, Pick 'Em Up!

A couple waiver wire pick-ups are good to go in your lineups this week...

Week 10 Start 'Em (16+ points for QBs, 10+ for RB/WR; 39-18 for season, 3-3 last week, but hope you took my advice to start DeAngelo Williams and Jeremy Langford)

Washington QB Kirk Cousins (vs. NO) -  The Saints have allowed 10 passing touchdowns the past two weeks and a passer rating north of 110.0 for the season. Cousins is legitimately a top-12 QB this week.

Jaguars RB Blake Bortles (@ BAL) - Quietly keeps continuing to impress the fantasy community as the #10 scoring QB on the season and gets a Baltimore defense that is 31st this season against fantasy QBs.

Packers RB James Starks (vs. DET) - Declared the starter this week over Eddie Lacy, and a great match-up. Start with confidence.

Bengals RB Jeremy Hill (vs. HOU) - If you have better options, I understand if you don't want to start the inconsistent Hill, but the Bengals keep feeding him the ball (15-16 carries each of the last three games), and he has a plus match-up this week against Houston. I can see 60+ yards and a touchdown. The Bengals are unbeaten and want to get Hill going. Their record affords them that luxury to keep feeding him, despite 3.3 ypc this season.

Jaguars WR Allen Hurns (@ BAL) - Like his quarterback, quietly impressing his fantasy owners, with six consecutive games with a touchdown. Great match-up this week, and did we mention he also has three 100+ yard games on the season?

Raiders WR Michael Crabtree (@ OAK) - He's reached the point where you have to start him every week (just like we drew it up in training camp, right?). Back-to-back 100-yard and a touchdown games with a red hot quarterback in Derek Carr. Two touchdowns last week too, and averaging TEN TARGETS PER GAME this season.

SLEEPER OF THE WEEK - Rams WR Tavon Austin: Not owned in more than half of NFL.com leagues, but the Rams are finding ways to put the ball in his hands. 80 total yards and/or a touchdown in 4 of his last five games

TIGHT END WEEK 10 SLEEPER - Washington TE Jordan Reed...for the same reasons we mentioned Kirk Cousins above but also to point out that he's STILL only owned in 34.6% of NFL.com leagues?! Hello! McFly! A touchdown and/or 80 yards in EVERY game this season.

Honorable Mention - Lions RB Ameer Abdullah: No way you can start him this week, but the Lions aren't playing well and will likely try to see what they have in their young players at the end of the season. The offensive coordinator already came out this week and said Abdullah's role will increase. He's a good stash for now at the end of your bench with a favorable schedule during the fantasy playoffs (Saints and 49ers weeks 15 and 16).

Week 10 Sit 'Em ( < 16 points for QBs, < 10 for RB/WR; 35-18 on the season, 2-4 last week)

Cardinals QB Carson Palmer (@ SEA): I hate to do it, because he's been so good, but you should have room to start another option considering you drafted Palmer late or picked him up off waivers. Seattle has 4 games this year where they held QBs under 10 fantasy points.

Bears QB Jay Cutler (@ STL) - He's been over 16 points every game since missing week 3, but the Rams defense is no joke. St. Louis hasn't allowed a passing touchdown in three straight weeks.

Cardinals RB Chris Johnson (@ SEA) - Johnson has looked rejuvenated this year, but the Seahawks are still #1 in points allowed to fantasy running backs. Seattle hasn't allowed a rushing touchdown in every game but one this season (vs. Carolina), and CJ isn't locked in as the goal line back anyway.

Browns RB Isaiah Crowell (@ PIT) - The Browns cut Robert Turbin, which is good news for Crowell, but the match-up this week is not good. The Steelers are top-5 against running backs.

Chiefs WR Jeremy Maclin (@ DEN) - CB Aqib Talib is suspended, but Broncos CB Chris Harris Jr. is better anyway. He'll be on Maclin, and even after last week's poor defensive performance against the Colts, the Denver defense STILL has only allowed 1 touchdown to a WR all season (Vikings WR Mike Wallace week 4). Maclin had 4 receptions for 57 yards week two against Denver.

Browns WR Travis Benjamin (@ PIT) - He's cooled off after his red hot start, with less than 100 yards in his last three games combined. You can't trust him enough to start him at this point.
