Colts, Baker & Daniels Encourage Families to Spend Time Reading Together

INDIANAPOLIS – During the 2009 season, the Indianapolis Colts and Baker & Daniels are teaming up to host monthly FREE "Read, Dream, Succeed!" Family Reading Nights at community centers in Central Indiana. These events are designed to provide a fun environment to encourage families to spend time reading together. Each Family Reading Night will feature an interactive reading by Colts TE Jacob Tamme as he and Blue bring a story to life with life-size props and audience interactive.

The third "Read, Dream, Succeed!" Family Reading Night will be held Tuesday, November 17, at the Wheeler-Dowe Boys and Girls Club from 6-7 p.m. The Club is located at 2310 East 30th Street in Indianapolis, Ind. Space is limited for this event, so please RSVP to Tiffani White at twhite@bgcindy.org if you would like to join us.

The first 100 youth in attendance will receive a FREE book. Light snacks will be also provided for families, as well as free "Read, Dream, Succeed!" bookmarks, compliments of the Colts and Baker & Daniels.

"Read, Dream, Succeed!" is part of the Colts Blue Ribbon Literacy Campaign which was launched in 2007 to encourage Hoosiers of all ages to spend more time reading and to support various literacy initiatives around the state of Indiana.
