REID, BETHEA JOIN DRAFT-DAY CELEBRATION
INDIANAPOLIS - This past Saturday, the Colts made Arizona State University offensive lineman Mike Pollak their first selection of the 2008 NFL Draft.
Long before that, the Colts celebrated the event.
And they did so with the help of two veteran players.
Defensive tackle Darrell Reid and safety Antoine Bethea were on hand at the Colts' Draft Day Party this past Saturday, the first day of the 2008 NFL Draft.
The party, held at the Ram Restaurant, downtown, was held from 1 to 5 p.m. And although the draft did not begin until 3 p.m., Colts fans filled the brewery early and were greeted with free gifts, menu specials and many chances to win prizes.
The day kicked off with four members of the newly-selected Colts Cheerleaders and a remote broadcast with hosts Tom Zupancic, Joe Staysniak and Jeffrey Gorman.
Fans signed up and won prizes, including tickets to the first game to be played in Lucas Oil Stadium on August 24 and to the regular-season home opener on September 7, in which the Colts will play host to the Chicago Bears on NBC's Sunday Night Football.
Reid and Bethea joined the party from 3 to 5 p.m., signing autographs and participating in a short question-answer session with Gorman.
